Fueled by a radical new Super Vortex High Output engine, this potent powerplant flexes its muscles with more power, torque and displacement than any WaveRunner personal watercraft in history. The NanoXcel2® hull and deck is over 20.8kgs lighter than the preceding model, making the FX SVHO over 50kgs lighter than traditional hulls, for a ride that's extremely agile and exciting. Upgraded performance components keep this machine hooked up and glued to the water. 

The innovation continues with Yamaha's patented RiDE™ technology, electric trim, new Command-Link information centre with electric trim indicator and remote security system. In addition to these features are trademark WaveRunner features such as; adjustable-tilt steering, extended stern platform with padded rear boarding step, 3-person two-tone fast-back seat, Cruise Assist and No-Wake mode, and a whopping 125.5 litres of storage space.

Features

RiDE - Reverse with Intuitive Deceleration Electronics

Introducing RiDE by Yamaha. The world's first dual throttle handlebar control system. RiDE is easy, fun and intuitive. Pull the right lever to accelerate and the left lever to decelerate and for reverse. Release the levers for neutral. Pull them both, or in any combination, and the system reacts with precise control. Operation is simple with no manual shifting, no gears and no complicated processes. To compliment the innovative RiDE system, an electric trim switch is within easy reach of the rider's thumb. Benefits include enhanced handling and smooth deceleration.

Lightest Hull and Deck in the industry - NanoXcel2

Yamaha's SVHO powered watercraft are now even faster, thanks to the introduction of NanoXcel2. A nanotechnology-engineered material that is even lighter than the previous version while maintaining the structural integrity the material has come to be recognized for. To create NanoXcel 2, Yamaha engineers innovated at the microscopic level using a combination of “nano” clay and glass micro-bubbles to develop a new stronger resin that uses less material. The glass micro-bubbles used in NanoXcel2 are smaller and stronger than other filler materials, contributing to the strength, rigidity and lightweight of the new hulls and decks. NanoXcel2 reduces the weight of the FX SVHO models by 20.8kg, a total weight saving of over 50kg over traditional hulls - making NanoXcel2 hulls, decks and liners the lightest in the industry.

SVHO Engine

The new SVHO engine produces approximately 20% more power than before, and features improved cooling, more efficient intake, and stronger forged engine internals. The new, larger Hyper-Flow jet pump helps turn that power into electrifying acceleration, and the Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) gives smooth and efficient power output.

160mm, 8-vane pump

A new top loader intake grate and a larger 160mm, 8-vane pump provide greater thrust and instantaneous water displacement to keep this machine hooked up and glued to the water in all conditions.

Forged Pistons

Newly designed forged pistons are 30% stronger; aiding in performance and reliability.

Remote Transmitter

Security Mode can be activated remotely with the push of a button to disable the ignition when the WaveRunner is not being used. Activated just as easily, Low RPM Mode can be used to conserve fuel.

Stern/Platform Storage

Now larger than ever, the all-new swim platform features fast-access stern storage, double grab handles and a redesigned reboarding step, angled deeper in the water for easier reboarding. (Overseas model shown)

Features at Your Fingertips - Multifunction Information Centre

The specially designed meter provides a wide range of information in a clear, easy-to-read format. The tachometer keeps the rider informed about engine RPM, speed and gear selection, while fuel gauge and hour readouts keep track of the running time available. Electronic engine immobiliser (Security Mode) and low-RPM mode is controlled via the remote transmitter for the ultimate level of security and piece of mind. (Overseas model shown)

All Yamaha WaveRunners utilise open loop cooling, which is used by 99% of marine manufacturers. Open loop systems have been proven to be the most effective, reliable and maintenance free solution for marine environments, which means less money and less time off the water.
